Don't have an account? sci fi, I have to say, after reading some reviews I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. This movie is what happens when movie makers become so invested in their own work that they can't see how bad it is. The rest is rubbish. Thankfully, I chose not too. There was a long drawn out beginning that amounted to a very poor middle and a pathetic end. ( Log Out / The 1st hr of the movie you can basically fast forward if you've seen The Blair Witch. Fans of found footage films will enjoy this but for me there just wasn’t enough horror. Yet it was not a pleasurable experience.

There I said it. The story is about your typical dingleberry brunette who hires a few "professional" filmmakers to film a documentary about FOUR murders in her hometown area (where no one knows her) over FORTY years (not exactly a murder spree). The creature design for the titular vampire was semi-decent, seems very inspired by Craig Conway's Scar in The Descent, and the decision to withhold it from the audience until the third act was a nice touch. Standard characters with requisite annoyance and singular focus on "the project" without regard to common sense.

The percentage of users who rated this 3.5 stars or higher. The writer of this "movie" didn't waste any energy on trying to be original...or on camera work, or anything else. A reasonable story with a chilling ending. Awards
I have to say, after reading some reviews I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Almost put me off Found Footages movies for good! Speaking of, I nearly watched this a few days ago. Even to the point where they discover they walked in a perfect circle. This movie is what happens when movie makers become so invested in their own work that they can't see how bad it is. Why pay money to watch something that you could practically shoot yourself if you own a digital video camera?

Story builds slow and the climax delivery leaves a lot to be desired, but if you like horror you'll probably watch to the end anyway just to see how much it borrowed from other films and at least you can cross it off your list and say with certainty that it's not a gem of any sort unfortunately.
