Queensland University of Technology(QUT) is a premier site for media industries research and teaching with one of the only degree programs in the world devoted to the study of the media and entertainment industries. Media Industries is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that supports critical studies of media industries, institutions, and policies worldwide. Submissions can address the full spectrum of media industries, including film, television, internet, radio, music, publishing, gaming, advertising, and mobile communications, and query a range of industry-related concerns and processes, such as production, distribution, infrastructure, policy, exhibition, and retailing. We investigate how various audiences receive, interact with, interpret, and produce media texts. At University of Nottingham, the Department of Culture, Film and Media takes a leading role in promoting and advancing media industries research and teaching. Media Industries accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Stockholm counts as one of Europeâs top urban hubs for media industries employment, with film and television, ICT and software, music and advertising forming a trademark sector of the region. We place a special focus on studies of culture and the international dimensions of communication processes. Media International Australia - MIA - is a peer-reviewed journal publishing scholarly research and reviews about media, telecommunications and cultural industries, policies and practices. Publications written for a general audience will be considered, but preference is given to academic materials. ISIR members have worked with a wide range of media companies and organizations, including the BBC, BT, Fox Entertainment, Ofcom, Red Bee Media, and Thinkbox.
